MAINE

The forest is named after the White Mountains, a mountain range that extends for about 25 miles through the park. The White Mountain National Forest is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, offering a variety of recreational activities such as hiking, skiing, and camping. The forest is also home to a diverse array of plant and animal life, including moose, black bears, and bald eagles.
