Chippewa National Forest

Superior National Forest

The Superior National Forest is a vast wilderness area located in northeastern Minnesota, covering over 3 million acres. The forest is known for its rugged terrain, crystal-clear lakes, and vast expanses of boreal forest. Visitors to the Superior National Forest can explore its many hiking trails, including the famous Superior Hiking Trail, which spans over 300 miles from Duluth to the Canadian border.
