To introduce myself might not be summed up in one post

I feel like I’ve lived 10 lives already by age 35. But the best life is the one I’m living right now. It seems like this is the life that’s been waiting for me. Living in my minivan has been the greatest decision I’ve ever made. Making each piece of this lifestyle come together was like art. I made a career change from plumbing to remote work for a software company. I consider myself to be very lucky to have all the experiences I’ve had so far.

I was lucky to have a family member that took me on all sorts of adventures my whole childhood. Going as far as Italy. The driving adventures were the best, blaring music like ZZ Top and Lynyrd Skynyrd. As soon as I got my driver’s license, I was out driving and exploring. Living in nine different states so far. Starting to learn about BLM and National Forest, car camping became a regular thing until doing my first 7-month vehicle adventure. Starting in Colorado, traveling the whole west coast and then east to Texas until the virus hit. Then moving to Seattle creating a small company- things were great.

After some time major depression set in and deciding a quick break from reality was just what I needed. Short trips became longer. Not much work was getting done. Long trips became longer trips. Months later my depression was starting to lift. In a crazy moment realizing I could get remote work and live this life full time. I only had 21 days to return from a trip to build out the van in a better way and organize the destruction I created.

I had a little extra time to find work. Taking almost 3 months to secure the best job as a database manager for a software company. I got this job from my experience of 9 years as a plumber. Work is no longer my first priority. Now it’s my 3rd or 4th. I am so lucky I can do it from anywhere with the smallest amount of cell data. My travels have and will consist of car camping in national forests, blm land, hot springs, deserts and mountains. Checking out big and small cities alike.

I hope you follow along on my adventures as well as the other team members here at Destination Now Here.
